People will probably hate me for doing the same thing to my 87 performer but my dropout was already pretty chewed up from over tightening my 3/8s wheels when I was 13. That new school 14mm with 8t cassette hub and 25tooth sprocket is a lot smoother. Cheers!

I have a 1994 Dyno Slammer and a 1996 GT Speed Series. Slammer is in perfect condition with bull dogs, a bashboard with unused padding and 3 piece cranks. Speed series has a little bit of rust where headtube meets the downtube. These bikes are so rare that its hard to know what they are worth. I have had offers all over the place. I am currently looking for a gt pro freestyle tour from the early 90s.... havent found any i really want. id pay 5 grand if it was in perfect condition.

we would use wd40 to put our grips on wd40 to put our chains on wd40 to put our bottom brackets on wd40 for our headsets etc.

they're definetly spoiled i hadda work extra hard to get new parts and we would end up trading amongst each other because we were all friends riding

the final step in the process for a lot of people is covering up the hack grinding job with some Race Inc. inserts and going back to 3/8.

On bead...very slowly..pushing back on tire till all even around complete wheel

I do most complete cleaning /light polishing ..clean all bearings n new grease n oil...for $100- 200 dollars but it will look n ride 100 percent better..

Old stuff made better...

Does back pedalling make the wheel lock the same way a coaster brake wheel function ?

I need serious help. I have an elite bmx The crank was stripped out so I bought a new one. They did not send me the spindle so I bought one from mission. The issue is that there's so much paint in the threads of the crank arm. I can't get the spines to lineup. I don't want to ruin the spindle I just want to put this crank on and get rid of this bike. Because elite sucks

I just did this on my Schwinn Pro Modified (2001) aluminum frame! Funny too bc I was searching far and wide for guides. I’m getting back into BMX at 37 along with my kids and I didn’t realize most of everything these days is 14mm. I ended up using a combination of files/rasps, angle grinder, and dremel to get it done. Just took my time (by recommendation of a fabricator friend) and gladly both dropouts came out super clean, new wheels fit like a charm. It feels awesome getting back on a bike after 20 years. I’m excited to ride alongside my kids and look forward to passing on the love for the sport to them and their friends. Love the channel, thank you for the videos and banter! Brings me back to some really good times!!

To run a modern hub on an older frame, use female axle bolts. Problem solved, zero grinding required.

I just did this a month ago, went 10mm to 14mm, grinded down to 13, then used a file to take it to 14, I even went through the trouble to sand and polish. I used a chain tensioner as the guide.

I did this to a 90's Hawk Square frame in the late 90's. I wish I just hung it on the wall. The worst offense was my BBC Blammo. I destroyed art.

I had a 3/8 bike when i bought my alex triple wall wheels with the 4x4 14mm hubs my dropouts were not that big so he welded on a 1/8 plate on the outside of the dropouts and i had bigger more stout dropouts. I loved my dad worked in aerospace he even made me a titanium frame for bmx r.i.p pops

As far as I know the Wheeler Team Al was a race bike used in the 1997 European BMX Championship the Wheeler team FS was there freestyle bmx 👍🚲💨

I had a Wheeler Pro-ride MTB as a hire bike for several years with no issues at all. Sold it recently due to the recession here in N,Z. Otherwise would have kept it.
